BSCER recognizes that in order to truly empower students and help them succeed in their careers, they need more than just financial support. It understands the importance of soft skills training and upskilling opportunities in preparing students for their future careers.
Mentorship
Program
The primary goal of the Mentorship Program is to enhance the students’ preparedness for future career opportunities and increase their chances of securing employment. The program is implemented by BSCER and aims to connect students with mentors who are industry experts or academicians.
Through the Mentorship Program, selected students will have the opportunity to engage in personalised one-on-one sessions with experienced mentors. These mentors offer guidance, share their knowledge and expertise, and provide valuable insights into the chosen field of study or career path.
The mentorship sessions allow students to ask questions, seek advice, and receive feedback on their academic and career-related concerns. The mentors can offer valuable insights into industry trends, share their personal experiences, and provide guidance on professional development. This mentor-student interaction fosters a supportive learning environment and helps students build confidence, refine their career goals, and make informed decisions about their educational and professional paths.
Circle of
Giving

The Circle of Giving is a concept implemented within the Mentorship Program to ensure its sustainability and longevity in transforming the lives of financially disadvantaged students and their families. Under this model, students who have benefited from the program are encouraged to pledge their support for at least two new students whenever they are capable of doing so.

The idea behind the Circle of Giving is to create a sense of community and mutual support among program participants. It fosters a culture of philanthropy and encourages beneficiaries to understand the value of giving back to others who are facing similar challenges they once faced.

The Circle of Giving is an effective way to sustain the Mentorship Program’s mission by creating a long-term support network that extends beyond the initial assistance provided. It enables the program to reach and empower more students over time, ensuring that the positive impact on their lives and their families’ lives continues for generations to come.
